There's always a story behind every artistic endeavour or design work, so here's a few out-takes from the day we shot our latest roller blind collection.
Phil James of shadowplay has been our photographer for years and we were so pleased that he could help, as ever since he started the amazing fashion label &Sons he's been in great demand.
Melanie Darwin and Laura Fletcher were our designers on the day and ably assisted by Sam.
Our new collection has been enlarged to A3, so the samples are now so large there's little need to have images of each fabric in a window.
This freed us to use our imagination and take pictures showing a little of the gorgeous environment New House is lucky to work in and has such influence on our design.
The brief was to use our lovely Herefordshire buildings as props showing off our latest roller blind fabrics, so we did!
Here Melanie, Laura and Sam are working on a shot to drape our transparent sheer voile fabrics over a gate.
Next up, we worked on shots for our new extra wide fabrics that are available up to 3m and couldn't resist using our huge wooden door as a backdrop. Zoe is Linda's black labridor and a great model.
We then returned to our courtyard buildings where we'd hung our new ultra-high-quality Coma blockout fabric in our sample room windows. John Stanier decided to see what was going on so he got into the pic too..
Laura had some good ladder practice while arranging another shot.
One of our last shots was of our new screen fabric Baltic, that we decided to drape on an antique farm gate.
This gate leads down onto the River Wye but perhaps it's best we save this for another time!
