Automate™ is a new name in the UK’s window covering industry and available from New House Textiles. Automate™ is the fastest-growing division of Rollease Acmeda, who in turn are one of the industry’s largest independent engineered component and systems manufacturers. Based in USA and Australia, their extensive high-quality shading systems have dominated the North American and many other shading markets for years.

Automate™ was launched in 2016 with a 20-motor option line-up of Li-ion, AC and DC motors in the USA. This proved an inflection point for motorization in North America so to build on that success, the systems are being launched in the UK and Europe.

 

 

Automate™ stands for great technology with comprehensive motor line-ups, a suite of innovative intuitive controls and accessories, as well as accessing the huge range of Rollease Acmeda compatible hardware. Backed by a team of twenty-five outstanding engineers at the Rollease Acmeda Innovation & Design Centre, the Automate™ division is constantly being developed and refined.

Rollease Acmeda have their own proprietorial communication system called ARC™, standing for ‘Automate Radio Communication’. This operates on a strong bi-directional 433mhz FSK signal, so the controller knows exactly what the position of the shade is, battery state and other information.

The latest Automate™ Pulse 2 hub is designed in California and is made to be seen. It incorporates features such as native sunset and sunrise technology, so shades are automatically raised or lowered based on location. As well as a phone ap, wide range of wall or hand-held remotes, Pulse 2 hub is also compatible with all premium home or voice control systems such as Apple Homekit, Alexa, Siri, Savant, Crestron and many others.

Programming is probably the fastest in the industry, with a wide range of Li-ion motors from 1.1N to 10.0N. Each come with a patented ‘wire-free’ design to conceal the antenna cable, a micro-USB charging port, over-charge protection, ‘soft close’ technology, 5 year guarantee and 500+ cycles on a single charge.

The Automate™ range also includes extensive hard-wired AC and DC motors for both internal and external use, as well as specialist motors for Romans, curtains or tilt blinds. All are suitable for domestic, large commercial applications and retro fit, offering consumers the freedom of having different shading options in different rooms all under one straight-forward control.
